Umbrella Rate – £37.11 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate children’s functional abilities, sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, and daily living skills.

Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.

Provide interventions to support children with developmental delays, sensory integration issues, coordination difficulties, or physical disabilities.

Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.

Set measurable goals and track progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Educate and train families and caregivers in therapy techniques for home carryover.

Document assessments, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities.

Contribute to program development and service improvement initiatives within the department.

Stay up to date with current research and evidence-based practices in paediatric occupational therapy.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).

Current registration with [HCPC / AHPRA / relevant professional body].
-
Minimum [1–3] years of experience working with children in clinical, educational, or community settings.

Experience with sensory integration, autism spectrum disorders, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), and/or physical disabilities preferred.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
