Job Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. You will be responsible for installing and repairing flooring in council-managed properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and repair various types of flooring (carpets, vinyl, tiles, etc.).
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment required for flooring tasks.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Support apprentices and provide guidance as needed.
- Communicate any issues or delays to the team promptly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in floor laying or a relevant trade qualification (NVQ in Floor Covering is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving license (if required).
