About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Committee Officer to support the delivery of the Council’s democratic and governance processes. You will play a key role in ensuring meetings run smoothly and decisions are properly recorded and implemented.

Key responsibilities

  • Organise and service council meetings, including agendas and minutes
  • Provide administrative and procedural support to councillors and staff
  • Prepare reports, briefing papers, and correspondence
  • Support appeals and panel hearings, including recording outcomes
  • Ensure decisions are followed up and implemented

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Experience in administration or local government (desirable)
