Job Details
This role is needed to help children and young people with SEND achieve positive educational and wellbeing outcomes through psychological support and advice. A typical day includes consulting with schools, families and professionals, carrying out assessments, providing interventions, writing statutory reports for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs), and working with multi-agency teams to promote inclusive practice and improve outcomes.
To deliver high-quality educational psychology services that promote inclusion, improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, provide expert psychological advice and consultation, fulfil statutory responsibilities, and contribute to the strategic development of the Educational Psychology Service through collaborative and evidence-based practice.
| Provide psychological consultation, assessment and intervention for children and young people with SEND. | ||||||
| Complete statutory advice for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) within required timescales. | ||||||
| Work collaboratively with schools, families and multi-agency professionals to support inclusion and improve outcomes. | ||||||
| Maintain accurate case records, reports and performance data in line with service standards and data protection requirements. | ||||||
| Deliver consultation as part of the graduated response in line with the SEND Code of Practice. | ||||||
| Contribute to the development of the Educational Psychology Service through CPD, workstreams and service initiatives. | ||||||
| Apply relevant legislation, professional standards and evidence-based practice to all aspects of educational psychology work. |
Work Hours:
Start – 9am
Finish – 17:30pm
PAYE Pay Rate – £456.07 per day
