Client: North Northamptonshire Council
Location: Municipal Offices
Work Pattern: Mon-Thu 8.30-4.30pm, 30mins break Fri 8.30 – 4pm, 30mins break
Callout 1 in 4 = 1 full week every 4 weeks
PAYE Pay Rate: £18.85 per hour
Main Purpose
Carry out electrical repairs, remedial works, testing and inspections in occupied and void social housing properties across Kettering, Corby and North Northamptonshire.
Typical Day
- Attend properties and complete electrical repairs and remedial works.
- Carry out testing and inspections.
- Complete rewires in void properties when required.
- Fault-find and ensure electrical systems are safe and compliant.
- Complete paperwork/certification.
- Participate in the 1-in-4 out-of-hours call-out rota.
Key Skills
- Domestic electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong testing and inspection skills.
- Fault finding and remedial works.
- Rewiring experience.
- Good communication and customer service.
- Able to work independently.
- Own vehicle and tools beneficial.
Essential Qualifications
- C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
- C&G 2382 – 18th Edition
- C&G 2391 – Testing & Inspection or equivalent
- Testing & inspection experience essential
- Willing to complete CAT B Asbestos training.
