Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Temporary, ongoing

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Refuse Driver/Loader to join a busy waste collection operation in Brentwood. This is a temporary, ongoing position working Monday to Friday, with a consistent daytime schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive refuse collection vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Carry out daily refuse and recycling collections across designated routes.
• Work as part of a team to load and collect household and commercial waste.
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with company procedures and road safety regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure waste is collected efficiently and safely.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to members of the public.
• Complete relevant paperwork and collection records as required.

Requirements

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience driving refuse collection or similar HGV vehicles is desirable.
• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operating procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and loading duties.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a responsible approach to safety.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday: 7:30am–3:30pm

Pay

• PAYE: £17.78 per hour

Contract

Temporary, ongoing, with the potential for continued work depending on operational requirements.
