Job Details

Work Pattern: Hybrid 3x days in the office typically (subject to service need)- initial 4 weeks training in the office, 37 hours a week , (9 am till 5pm)

PAYE Pay Rate: £13.26

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Housing and Customer Services Directorate, helping the Voids service run efficiently and ensuring accurate records, appointments and customer information.

Typical Day Overview

  • Manage appointments, diaries and team schedules.
  • Answer telephone, email and written enquiries.
  • Update databases, spreadsheets and housing records.
  • Support meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes.
  • Produce performance reports and monitor information.
  • Liaise with energy suppliers and third-party companies to resolve issues and arrears.
  • Support Voids Property and Cleansing Managers with timesheets and absence records.
  • Assist with orders, requisitions and basic project work.

Essential Requirements / Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing appointments and diaries for large teams in a busy environment.
  • Strong administrative, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience taking and producing meeting minutes.
  • Experience using computer systems and maintaining accurate data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and locations when required.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Administration or relevant equivalent experience.
