Job Title: SEN Case Officer (SEND Caseworker)
Location: Fully Remote
Contract: 6 months (End of April – October)
Day Rate: £280 per day

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced SEN Case Officers to support a local authority in reducing a backlog of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) work. The role will involve managing a caseload of children and young people with special educational needs, ensuring statutory processes are completed efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of EHCPs, ensuring compliance with statutory timelines
  • Complete and progress overdue annual reviews
  • Coordinate and process new EHCP assessments
  • Draft, amend, and issue EHCP documentation
  • Liaise with schools, parents, and multi-agency professionals
  • Handle escalated or complex cases, including complaints where required
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an SEN / SEND Case Officer or Caseworker
  • Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and SEND legislation
  • Experience with annual reviews and/or new assessments
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
