  • Hours: 3 to 4 days a week to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service
  • Hybrid working requirement to be on site in-person on average 4 days a month
  • Day PAYE Rate: £323.02 inclusive of all expenses
  • 12-month contract to start as soon as possible

 

Job Purpose

This is a senior role within the LBH Public Health team reporting to the Director of Public Health (DPH). Your responsibilities will primarily be focused on the commissioning of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme, supporting the DPH with the management of the Collaborative Agreement between the NHS and the Council and contributing to the delivery of the Best Start in Life Strategy and the maternity and child health priorities in the draft Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2026-2031.

 

Person Specification

In order to be successful in this role you will be an experienced children’s services manager with extensive knowledge, understanding and experience of commissioning 0-19 services. Experience of working in a local authority in a senior manager role as Head of Service or equivalent is essential. Because of the specific nature of the collaborative agreement in Hillingdon between the NHS and the Council, it is essential that the successful candidate has experience of having worked in the borough, has already established local networks and has an understanding of the challenges involved in making a collaborative agreement an effective vehicle for improving the health, wellbeing and life chances of children and young people living in Hillingdon.
