ROLE PURPOSE

• To patrol the borough’s Linford Christie stadium in parks and open spaces facilities to ensure all users have a valid booking or have made payment.

• To provide/issue equipment, information, access, and assistance to users of the borough’s Linford Christie sports and recreational facilities in parks and open spaces and supervise, where required, any facility and equipment use

• To be responsible for the operation of the plant rooms including the pumps, filters, and dosing equipment and to test and treat the water accordingly

• To open and close all facilities and pavilions as and when necessary, ensuring they are safe, fit for purpose and adequately secure

ROLE DUTIES

• To help deliver a professional and quality sports bookings service to all users across the borough.

• To liaise with the sports bookings manager and wider environment department.

• Be responsible and work collaboratively to achieve results for delivering a quality service

• Be Innovative and responsive to changing demands

• Be efficient and organised, working to deadlines and service expectations

• Work on a rota basis to best fulfil the requirements of the service

• Complete timesheets, inspections, undertake reporting systems in a timely fashion

• Regularly and effectively communicate with the sports bookings manager and the wider environment department

• Utilise the most economic and effective work practices to fulfil all service requirements

• Create a positive impression with customers/users and work to exceed their expectations, presenting a polite and responsible attitude at all times

• Promote LBH&F sports, recreation and open space facilities wherever possible and feedback through reporting lines to achieve service betterment

• Deal with the public in a respectful and efficient manner, answering questions relating to the service, noting, and reporting any complaints through the proper reporting lines.
• Represent LBH&F respectfully by wearing the supplied clothing, ensuring machinery and equipment are professionally presented and that sites are kept clean, tidy and ready to use safely

• To be responsible for the operation of the plant rooms in the borough’s wet play facilities, including the pumps, filters, and dosing equipment and to test and treat the water accordingly in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s

• To patrol the borough’s entire sports and recreation in parks and open spaces facilities to ensure all users have a valid booking or have made payment.

• To report any operational issues, service requirements, non-payers, non-bookers, equipment of facility failure through the appropriate reporting lines

• To provide/issue equipment, information, access, and assistance to users of the borough’s entire sports and recreational facilities in parks and open spaces and supervise, where required, any facility and equipment use

• To open and close all facilities and pavilions as and when necessary, ensuring they are safe, fit for purpose and adequately secure.

• Undertake litter picking, rubbish clearing, cleaning and tidying of all LBH&F sports, recreation and outdoor facilities and its related equipment

• Report any accidents or incidents through the proper reporting lines

Pay rate: £20.95 per hour umbrella

Three to six months contract with view to extend or make permanent
