Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced TechnologyOne Financials System Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation, configuration, testing and optimisation of the TechnologyOne Financial Management System for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

This is a specialist role requiring extensive hands-on experience with TechnologyOne Financials. You will work closely with project teams, finance stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of the Financial Management System, providing expert guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the TechnologyOne Financials Subject Matter Expert, providing specialist advice on system functionality and best practice.
  • Configure and support the implementation of TechnologyOne Financials modules in line with agreed business requirements.
  • Work with finance and project stakeholders to analyse business processes and recommend effective system-based solutions.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including investigating defects, identifying root causes and recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Promote the adoption of TechnologyOne standard functionality and advise on process improvements where appropriate.
  • Support cutover planning, data readiness and go-live activities to ensure a successful system implementation.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and documentation to internal teams to enable ongoing support and system administration.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, technical teams and finance users throughout the implementation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience implementing, configuring and supporting TechnologyOne Financials.
  • Strong knowledge of TechnologyOne Financials modules, including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Purchasing
    • Budget Management
  • Proven experience supporting ERP implementation projects from configuration through to go-live.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, financial controls and best practice within a Local Government environment.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect analysis and issue resolution.
  • Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into effective TechnologyOne solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience delivering knowledge transfer and supporting business readiness activities.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within UK Local Government.
  • Experience supporting TechnologyOne system upgrades or optimisation projects.
  • Knowledge of finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with data migration and cutover planning.
