Admin Assistant – Elections

Job Details

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the elections team at Camden Council. Due to significant changes in the voter registration process, we need an administrator to assist with updating the elections register and processing postal vote requests. While prior experience in elections or with election software is not required, strong administrative experience is highly desirable.

The role involves:
• Handling all election activities confidentially, securely, and accurately, managing documentation in line with council procedures.
• Providing general support to the electoral services manager, including data entry on election systems.
• Scanning and verifying documents, writing letters and emails, managing filing and archiving, and collating and distributing election materials.
• Responding to telephone, in-person, and email inquiries from customers courteously and efficiently.
• Operating necessary equipment and computer systems correctly, including computers, scanners, printers, mobile devices, and tablets.
• Working collaboratively within the team to enhance overall performance.
• Being available to work outside regular office hours during the election period.
