Job Title: Gas Engineer (Plumbing & Heating)
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to carry out repairs, maintenance, and installations across domestic properties, schools, and public buildings. This is a multi-skilled role covering plumbing, heating, and gas work within a social housing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out gas servicing, repairs, and installations
- Complete plumbing and heating works (1st & 2nd fix)
- Work in occupied and void properties
- Diagnose faults and resolve issues independently
- Read and work from drawings and plans
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Provide excellent customer service when working in homes
- Support and guide apprentices where required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Valid ACS Gas Qualifications (CCN1 & relevant appliances)
- Experience in domestic gas, heating, and plumbing
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Strong understanding of health & safety (COSHH, risk assessments)
- Full UK driving licence
