Job Title: Mould Marshall – Damp and Mould Operative

About the Role

We are seeking a practical, skilled and motivated Damp and Mould Operative (Mould Marshall) to support the delivery of safe, healthy homes across Camden’s housing stock.

You will be responsible for identifying, treating and preventing damp and mould issues in residential properties, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with health and safety regulations and Awaab’s Law.

This is a frontline, hands-on role where you will directly improve living conditions for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, identify and assess damp and mould issues in residential properties
  • Remove mould and carry out approved treatment processes
  • Apply anti-mould solutions to affected surfaces
  • Carry out basic painting and redecoration following treatment works
  • Complete minor repairs linked to damp and moisture issues
  • Travel across Camden to complete scheduled and emergency works
  • Respond to urgent damp and mould cases when required
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards, COSHH regulations, and Awaab’s Law
  • Record all completed works accurately and maintain job documentation
  • Report property defects, hazards, or escalating issues promptly
  • Work collaboratively with repairs, compliance, and housing teams

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in damp and mould treatment or property maintenance
  • Background in social housing, council housing, or domestic repairs
  • Experience in painting, decorating, or remedial works
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures (including COSHH)
  • Ability to work in challenging environments
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills when dealing with residents
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

Work Environment

  • Working in occupied residential properties across Camden
  • Exposure to damp, mould, and varying housing conditions
  • Use of PPE and adherence to strict safety procedures
  • Fast-paced workload with emergency call-out requirements
  • Mobile role requiring travel between sites

Additional Information
