Essential Criteria

Knowledge and understanding of the legal aspects of housing management, rent collection methods, and Northgate.

Ability to deal effectively with difficult customers both on the phone and face to face, remaining calm and professional at all times.

Ability to work under pressure to meet all deadlines and key performance indicators.
-
Experience of dealing sensitively and effectively with all sections of the community within a customer-focused organisation.

Experience of successfully managing rent recovery cases.
The Role
As part of a busy and high-performing Income Team, your main aim will be to maximise rent collection by effectively managing a designated “patch” of residential and non-residential accounts.
Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring strict adherence to the pre-court action protocol.

Meeting collection targets in a challenging economic, social, and political environment.

Responding to the needs of vulnerable residents by providing advice and making referrals to support agencies.

Identifying and sharing “good practice” for rent recovery within the team.
The Person
We are looking for individuals who are:
-
Computer literate and numerically confident, with experience using Northgate and Rentsense.
-
Skilled in preparing court documents, with excellent written communication.
-
Effective communicators and negotiators, able to engage professionally with tenants.

Flexible team players, willing to meet deadlines and provide cover whenever required.
